The SOMACIS Laboratory has developed strong relationships with international research centres amongst the laboratories of the major OEMs worldwide and Italian universities. The laboratory is equipped with: Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM) with EDAX micro-analysis, X-Ray Spectrometer, metallographic micro-sections system with optical microscopes connected to the PC to study them, OGP machine, equipment for thermo-mechanic analysis (DSC, TGA, TMA), Ionic Contamination Test System, and more.
A prestigious recognition for the innovative work done over time has been also awarded by the Italian Ministry of Education University and Research: SOMACIS has been included on the register of Highly Qualified Laboratories for Industrial Research since 2006.
